Privacy Policy

This page explains what information is handled when you use Demon Downloader.

No account, no personal details

You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address or payment details to use the downloaders.

Links you paste

When you press Fetch or Download, the link you paste is sent to our server so it can find the video. It is held in the server's memory for a few minutes to make your download start faster, then discarded. The videos themselves are never stored on our servers.

Technical information and server logs

Like most websites, our web host may automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the time of your visit and the pages or links requested. This is used to keep the service secure and running, and is kept by the host under its own retention rules.

Cookies and local storage

On the adult downloader, your browser stores a small note that you confirmed you are 18 or over, so you are not asked every time. Our blog may use cookies, for example if you log in or comment. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads.

Advertising and analytics

We do not currently run advertising. If we add advertising or analytics (for example Google AdSense or Google Analytics), partners may use cookies to show relevant ads or measure visits. You can opt out of personalised Google ads at adssettings.google.com, and we will ask for consent where the law requires it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it. Use our contact page. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

The adult downloader is for people aged 18 and over only. The rest of the site is not aimed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. Continuing to use the site means you accept the update.
